Sofi Hersher Andorsky, Founder and Strategist
Sofi Hersher Andorsky has spent her career at the intersection of religion, technology, and civic life, working across the for-and non-profit sectors in service of greater good will and understanding within and across communities.
A dedicated problem solver, Sofi began her career at Twitter, where she started as a receptionist and worked her way up to Brand Manager for one of the highest profile companies in the world. It’s during this period Sofi developed a deep understanding of consumer technology and how it can influence our lives.
Upon leaving Twitter, Sofi earned a Master of Arts in Religion in the Contemporary World from King’s College London. Her dissertation, “Interfaith Monologue: A Study of UK-based Interfaith Work on Twitter” was accepted for presentation by the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication.
Since then, Sofi has overseen public policy communications for the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism, representing the largest denomination of Judaism in North America, and all client and creative operations for ignite, a digital strategy agency based in Washington, DC. She has launched and advised campaigns to increase access to abortion care, mobilize religious communities to increase voter turnout, fight Christian nationalism, and raise millions of dollars to engage people in social change work.
Sofi is now vice president, strategy and communications at A More Perfect Union: The Jewish Partnership for Democracy. For Grand View Strategies, her portfolio includes projects for the National Council of Jewish Women, Newseum, Washington National Cathedral, Rose Community Foundation, tbh. Together Beat Hate, and much more.
In her spare time, Sofi serves as vice chair of the board of trustees for the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty (BJC), as a local interfaith organizer, and as a volunteer with various charities serving Afghan refugees and those seeking abortion services. Sofi regularly writes and presents on issues related to religion, technology, and civic life, including panels at SXSW in Austin, Texas and the BYU Religious Freedom Annual Review in Provo, Utah, and is a regular contributor to PopSugar News and Culture as well as ReformJudaism.org.
