When Charles Darwin closed his seminal work On the Origin of Species, he dedicated his final sentence to celebrating the beauty that can be found at the intersection of religion and modernity. We liked the sentiment so much; we named our company after it.

Grand View Strategies formed to provide support and collaboration to organizations working at this same intersection—those bringing people together, asking big questions, offering support, and working to change and repair our world. As digital strategists grounded in the academic study of religion and religious communities, we bring knowledge of both worlds into everything we do. As a previous client once said, “it’s like you’re fluent in both ‘religion’ and ‘tech.’ I didn’t know people like you were out there.”

Our approach focuses on understanding the impact an organization or individual hopes to make in their community and then uses principles of human-centered design to understand where that desire overlaps with the needs and appetite of the intended audience. Wherever possible we take cues from marginalized communities and leaders of color by applying a “justice” lens to our work, centering the lived experiences of people most affected by systemic inequalities or the need for support. At its core, this approach is about putting people first.

In everything we do, we lead with strategy first. Our work has spanned communications, digital transformation, program development, fundraising, brand building, marcomm, and nonprofit management, ensuring any strategy we design will be comprehensive, flexible, and appropriately nuanced. With Grand View Strategies, there will always be a reason.
